The Endoscopy Department of the Centre for Mother and Child plans to launch treatments for children with postoper-ative narrowing of the esophagus. New equipment is needed to diagnose various gastro diseases and help cure some of them. This is expected to help diagnose 800 children and 300 of them to be treated annually.
The needed equipment is a new type of Video Gastroscope. The Department already has parts complementing it (gastroscopic rack, including light source, processor, monitor and keyboard). It is now seeking help to buy a GIF-Q165 - type of Video Gastroscope to fit the existing base. The cost is around 12 000 Euros (or approx. 250 000 lei).
The “Save Life” team calls on your support to help gather the necessary funds, and is happy to announce that part of the funds (around 50 000 lei) will be covered from money gathered from the sale of tickets to a beautiful Charity Concert of Classical Music, organized by “Save Life” together with the Academy of Music, Theatre and Arts, under the patronage of Ms Armine Khachatryan and with support of Mrs Olga Tapiola, wife of the EU Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova. The concert will take place on Thursday, 23 March, at 6.30 pm, at the National Museum of Arts. The programme will be truly beautiful, with pieces by Haydn, Paganini, Saint-Seans, Rakhmaninov, Bach, Verdi and other great composers, performed by the String Quartet and Piano. This will be a real treat.
