Founded on September 4, 2006, The American Chamber of Commerce Moldova (AmCham Moldova) is a non-for-profit non-governmental organization. AmCham Moldova received official accreditation and recognition from The US Chamber of Commerce in February 2008 and has since grown to encompass 120 member companies representing a wide range of business and commercial activities.
As one of the 125 members of the International AmCham network, AmCham Moldova connects businesses and business leaders who share the common goal of bringing the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative cultures of Moldova and the United States closer together.
AmCham Moldova is also a member of the AmChams in Europe Network (the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce), a network which represents the corporate interests of more than 17,000 American and European companies across Europe and North America.

In February of 2008, AmCham was officially accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The accreditation was a milestone for our organization and means that AmCham Moldova is now officially recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and linked into the global network of more than 125 American Chambers of Commerce worldwide. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. It includes hundreds of associations, thousands of local chambers. The Washington staff is supported by eight regional offices around the U.S, an office in Brussels, an on-the-ground presence in China and a network of business activists.
In March 2008, AmCham Moldova joined AmChams in Europe Network (European Council of American Chambers of Commerce) with the goal to exchange best practice ideas, mutual member company benefits and to provide a forum for discussion, debate and where necessary representation on issues relevant to the European business environment. AmChams in Europe (the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce) today represents the corporate interests of more than 17.000 American and European companies, based in 41 countries and employing more than 20 million people. AmChams in Europe’s member companies account for more than $ 1.1 trillion in investment on both sides of the Atlantic.
Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration
In accordance with AmCham’s mission to encourage and foster a more favorable business climate in Moldova, on August 12, 2016, the Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration (CACIC) was established upon the initiative of the AmCham Board of Directors. The purpose of CACIC includes the facilitation of an independent and impartial platform for the settlement of disputes that may occur in Trade Relations, and became fully functional on March 1, 2017. CACIC is a permanent arbitration institution independent from, but attached to AmCham Moldova.
