On ratification of the agreement on co-operation between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Go-vernment of the United States of Ame-rica to promote the realization of the law on tax compliance for foreign accounts (FATCA).

Law No.234 of 10 De-cember 2015
The agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Mol-dova and the Government of the United States of America to promote the reali-zation of the provisions of the law on tax compliance for foreign accounts (FAT-CA) is ratified. The aim of FATCA is the introduction of a mechanism aimed to prevent fiscal eva-sions with respect to taxes on income re-ceived by American citizens and resi-dents outside the United States.
According to the ratified Agreement will put into place procedures for customer identification, similar to those, which are provided by FATCA.
