Nowadays no one will tell you for sure when exactly have started in Moldova the tradition to celebrate the St. Valentine ’s Day. The Holiday became popular and, in it’s own way, became very important. February 14 has become the date for exchanging love messages and a celebration of St. Valentine, the patron saint of lovers. The date is marked by sending poems and simple gifts, such as flowers, to loved ones and secret loves.
