AmCham Participated in Consultative Meeting with Customs Service Leadership
Mihai Burunciuc, AmCham Policy Manager, participated in the meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Customs Service.
The new Director of the Customs Service, Mr. Alexandru Iacub, presided over the meeting during which several current topics related to the activity of the business environment and the interaction with the customs authority were discussed:
- the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreements concluded by the Republic of Moldova with other countries, the GUUAM Agreement, and the Agreement with the EFTA member states;
- guarantees and extension of guarantee instruments;
- implementation of measures and tools to facilitate cross-border trade.
During the meeting, it was reiterated the need to create a friendly and reliable environment for business with a major focus on cross-border cooperation, reducing bureaucracy, implementing a paperless activity system by automating processes.
