We would like to draw your attention to a new Customs Service initiative concerning the optimization of internal Customs posts’ activity.
According to Customs Service, there are internal customs posts that have had a reduced rate of effectiveness in recent years by having an unfit location with low accessibility, not being sufficiently equipped, and have not been solicited enough by economical agents. This triggered a series of actions such as liquidating and merging internal customs posts that registered a low level of performance.
Moreover, after conducting a comprehensive study, Customs Service is proposing to divide the territory of Moldova into seven areas of customs supervision.
For those interested, please see HERE the Customs Service intent, as written by them.
Also, should you have any comments on the above topic please do not hesitate to contact Ana Raileanu, Committee Coordinator, at 211-781 or anaraileanu@amcham.md by the 15th of October. We will raise your concerns in the dialogue with the Customs Service.
