Danube Soya strives to involve Moldova into its initiative and thereby help Moldova to develop its agricultural potential. Danube Soya is therefore looking for a project manager to help setting-up the operation and manage related activities as well as administrative processes.

The future project manager will be assigned with the following tasks (but not limited to):
- Acting as the prime contact person of the Danube Soya association in Moldova and based in Chisinau
- Monitoring the situation in Moldova
- Managing public relations, media outreach and press work
- Servicing, maintaining and increasing business facilitating activities in Moldova for and in between members and potential system partners of Danube Soya
- Networking with the Government, Research and Scientific Institutions, Agricultural and Business Leaders in Moldova
- Organizing and conducting outreach programs to the farming community, development and implementation of farmer training activities and its curriculum
- Development of best practice models
- Organizing demo platforms and field trials
- Introduction of existing and/or new partners and business associates to the Donau Soja / Danube Soya Standards and Quality System
- Conducting business development and matchmaking as well as networking between target region members and international business leads
- Acquisition of new partners in the target regions
- Cooperation with international donors and public funds

The candidate should fulfil the following requirements:
- Advanced academic degree in agro-economics, agriculture, business, or another field relevant to the work of the associations
- Several years of experience in an international environment, e.g. international cooperation or international organisation
- Experience in at least 2 of the following aspects: agricultural supply chain management, quality systems in the food industry or agriculture, environmental sustainability, social and labour standards in international cooperation
- Be able to demonstrate experience in working with public institutions and civil society organisations
- Knowledgeable of global developments rural development, agriculture and human nutrition
- Proven project management skills

In addition the candidate should be fully proficient in English and bring with strong communication skills. He /she should be solid in applying the various means of electronic communication and collaboration. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, quality and results oriented, and able to take initiative and ownership. He/she should be able to manage multiple tasks and allocate/ review priorities to meet deadlines in a time-bound environment.

Starting date: 1 November 2015
Part-time until beginning of 2016 with the possibility of a full-time employment thereafter
Location: Chisinau, Moldova

Danube Soya is an international non-profit association and committed to restructure the current global supply of protein for animal and human nutrition and to increase the production of non-GMO soya in Europe, including Moldova.
