Updates from the Working Group on Labor Legislation Reform

On May 11, AmCham met with the working group on labor legislation, under the Prime Minister's Economic Council. The participants continued analyzing the list of mandatory documents verified by labor inspectors. In this, the discussions focused on the possibilities to avoid any unnecessary duplications of existing requirements and reduce administrative obligations.


On April 26, AmCham has participated in a new meeting of the Working Group on labor legislation, under the Prime-minister’s Economic Council. The participants continued analyzing the list of mandatory documents kept by employers and verified by labor inspectors. In particular, the discussions focused on the possibilities to reduce the administrative burden and eliminate redundant paperwork, while maintaining all necessary guarantees.


On March 9, AmCham participated in a new round of negotiations under the Working Group on labor legislation reform. The session was focused on finalizing discussions regarding the draft law that constitutes the result of Group’s activity during last months. While the participants have agreed to promote this first set of amendments, meetings will continue on further issues needing improvement in the labor market field.
