As the provisional application of the DCFTA will start on 1 January 2016 (including the provisions on drawback), companies that are located in Free Economic Zones or hold an inward processing authorization will be required to pay the import duty on the non-EU components of the final product. In order to minimize the impact of the provisions on the Moldovan companies, Ministry of Economy is proposing to exempt from import taxes the goods that are used in this regard.
Therefore, AmCham is collecting the tariff codes of the goods being entered for inward processing and to FEZ in order to be exempted from import tax.
