ACED: Investing in Moldovan agribusiness is now easier with a step-by-step Investor Guide

  • 10.04.2012

The Agricultural Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (ACED), funded by the United States Government, recently launched a guide called “The Road Map for Investors in Moldovan High Value Agriculture (HVA)”. The Guide outlines the most essential steps in establishing and operating an agribusiness in Moldova, such as company registration and licensing, staffing and related labor laws, and acquiring needed financial and operating inputs.

The Guide provides a single source of important information about licensing requirements, investment incentives and restrictions, land ownership and use regulations, food safety and environmental regulations, and available finance programs. In addition, it offers strategic guidance to local and foreign companies and individuals looking to invest in Moldova’s HVA sector (fruits, vegetables, and table grapes) and it highlights a number of key steps in dealing with Moldova’s public authorities throughout the investment process.

The Guide is also available to interested public and private sector agencies including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Foreign Investors Association, agricultural associations, business service providers, and others.

The Road Map for Investors in Moldovan HVA can be released in electronic or hard copy format by the ACED office in Chisinau, Kentford Building, 3rd floor. There is no charge for obtaining a copy of this document.
