On July 6, the State Agency for Intellectual Property ("AGEPI") launched public discussions on the private copy remuneration. AmCham and interested members have participated in this consultation, calling attention to the fact that the law is vague and provides leeway for extensive interpretation.

In the past years, AmCham has consistently asked for amendments to the Law on copyright and related rights, in an effort to avoid an escalation of the situation.
