Call for Applications to Join the Steering Committee of AmCham Court of Commercial Arbitration

According to many voices, one major constraint of doing business in Moldova is the quality of justice, both in terms of its effectiveness, as well as in terms of ethics. To improve the current state of things, AmCham Moldova will soon launch providing alternative ways of resolving disputes to both - its members, as well as to the whole business community.

Therefore, on August 19, Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration was officially established under AmCham Moldova and included in the List of Courts of Arbitration, held by the Supreme Court of Justice. By inserting the arbitration clause in your commercial agreements, you’ll get the opportunity to resolve disputes between you and your business partners inside the Court of Arbitration, thus avoiding national judiciary courts.

According to its By-laws, the Court of Arbitration is a permanent body that functions under AmCham, being supervised by the AmCham Board of Directors. The current activities of the new entity are ensured by a Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee consists of 5 members, including the President and Vice - President of the Arbitration Court, serving for a two-years term.

So, hereby, the call for applications for positions of Steering Committee members (3), for President and Vice - President, is launched.

The interested candidates should ensure that they:

- Represent the upper management of an AmCham member in good standing;
- Have at least 7 years of legal background.

The candidates should submit intention letter and CV before September 8, 16:00.

Una din constrângerile majore, des menționate de către mediul de afaceri, ține de calitatea actului justiției, atât prin prisma echității, cât și eficienței acestuia. În vederea redresării respectivei situații, AmCham Moldova și-a propus oferirea atât membrilor săi, cât și întregii comunități de afaceri, posibilități alternative de soluționare a litigiilor.

Așadar, pe data de 19 august 2016, a fost instituită Curtea de Arbitraj Comercial Internațional din Chișinău de pe lângă AmCham Moldova prin listarea acesteia de către Curtea Supremă de Justiție în lista arbitrajelor create în conformitate cu legislația în vigoare. O dată cu inserarea unei clauzei arbitrale, veți avea posibilitatea să soluționați litigiile dintre Dvs și partenerii Dvs de afaceri în incinta respectivei Curți de Arbitraj, evitîndu-se astfel instanțele naționale de judecată.

Curtea de arbitraj este un organ permanent, ce funcționează pe lângă AmCham Moldova, fiind supervizat de către Consiliul Director AmCham, iar activitatea curentă a noii entități este asigurată de către un Comitet de Conducere.

Comitetul de Conducere este format din 5 membri, dintre care un Președinte și un Vicepreședinte, fiind aleși pe un mandat de doi ani.

Așadar, prin intermediul respectivei adresări, lansăm apelul pentru suplinirea pozițiilor în cadrul Comitetului de Conducere a Curții de Arbitraj.

Persoanele care aspiră la calitatea de membru al Comitetului de Conducere, urmează să se asigure că:

- Este exponent al managementului de nivelul I sau II din cadrul unei companii membre AmCham Moldova;
- Are studii superioare juridice și o vechime în specialitate juridică de cel puțin 7 ani.

Aceștia urmează să depună CV și o scrisoare de intenție pînă pe data de 8 septembrie, 16:00, cu indicarea poziției pentru care aplică.

Ulterior, vom reveni cu mai multe detalii privind spectrul serviciilor oferite în cadrul Curții de Arbitraj.
