AmCham Moldova, alongside EBA and FIA, met with Prime Minister Dorin Recean to discuss the most pressing issues for the business community.

We emphasized the need for:

• Energy Access & Renewables – Expanding grid access and increasing renewable energy quotas to meet national needs and decarbonization targets.
• Access to Workforce – Addressing labor shortages by improving policies on foreign workforce integration.
• Regulatory Efficiency – Reducing excessive regulations and ensuring a predictable business environment.
• Foreign Investment Screening Mechanism – Improving the legal framework on FDI screening, while balancing between protecting economic interests and national security.
• Rule of Law & Anti-Corruption – Strengthening judicial reform and improving the regulatory framework to prevent the abusive interference of law enforcement authorities in entrepreneurial activities.
• Financial Services Access – Streamlining AML regulations to improve access to banking for legitimate businesses.
