Call for applications to join the Steering Committee of Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration under American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova

On August 19, 2016, the Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration (hereinafter referred to as the “Arbitration Court”) was officially established under AmCham Moldova and included in the List of Courts of Arbitration, held by the Supreme Court of Justice.

According to its By-laws, the Court of Arbitration is a permanent body that functions under AmCham, being supervised by the AmCham Board of Directors. The current activities of the entity are managed by a Steering Committee. The Steering Committee consists of 5 members, including the President and Vice - President of the Arbitration Court, serving for a two-year term.

During the second term, a series of objectives have been achieved. CACIC conducted an international arbitration conference „Commercial arbitration - a smart solution for resolving disputes between professionals”, as well as, the first arbitration cases were successfully managed. Further, CACIC has led the advocating effort for amending the arbitration laws in order to streamline the arbitral awards enforcement procedure, thus fueling the use of arbitration as a primary ADR mechanism.

For the following term, the Steering Committee will be focused on promoting the arbitration institution and on increasing the capacity for the settlement of commercial disputes, under the Arbitration Court, but also on any other priorities that will be set by the Steering Committee for institutional development purposes.

Having in mind that the mandate of the second Steering Committee cohort is coming to an end, the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova is launching a new call for applications to join the Steering Committee of the Chisinau International Court of Commercial Arbitration.

Conditions of eligibility for candidates:

-Represent the upper management of an AmCham member in good standing;
-Have a university degree in legal studies;
-Have at least 7 years of legal background.

The candidates shall submit his/her resume and a letter of intention before November 30, 16.00, indicating the position he/she is applying for, at the following e-mail address: cacic@amcham.md.

Apel de candidaturi pentru calitatea de membru al Comitetului de Conducere a Curții de Arbitraj Comercial Internațional din Chișinău pe lângă Camera de Comerț Americană din Moldova

Pe data de 19 august 2016, a fost instituită Curtea de Arbitraj Comercial Internațional din Chișinău de pe lângă AmCham Moldova (în continuare Curte de Arbitraj) prin listarea acesteia de către Curtea Supremă de Justiție în lista arbitrajelor create în conformitate cu legislația în vigoare.

Curtea de arbitraj este un organ permanent, ce funcționează pe lângă AmCham Moldova, fiind supervizat de către Consiliul Director AmCham, activitatea curentă a entității fiind asigurată de un Comitet de Conducere. Comitetul de Conducere este format din 5 membri, dintre care un Președinte și un Vicepreședinte, aleși pe un mandat de doi ani.

În timpul celui de-al doilea mandat, au fost atinse o serie de obiective. A fost organizată conferința internațională CACIC și conferința internațională de arbitraj „Soluție inteligentă pentru litigiile între profesioniști”, precum și primele dosare de arbitraj au fost gestionate cu succes. Mai mult, CACIC a condus efortul de pledoarie pentru modificarea legilor arbitrale în vederea eficientizării procedurii de executare a hotărârilor arbitrale, alimentând astfel utilizarea arbitrajului ca mecanism primar ADR.

Mandatul ulterior va fi focusat pe promovarea instituției de arbitraj și sporirea capacității de soluționare a litigiilor comerciale în incinta respectivei Curți de Arbitraj, dar de asemenea și pe realizarea oricăror priorități stabilite de către Comitetul de Conducere.

Având în vedere că mandatul Comitetului de Conducere expiră, Camera de Comerț Americană din Moldova lansează apel de candidaturi pentru calitatea de membru al Comitetului de Conducere a Curții de Arbitraj Comercial Internațional din Chișinău pe lângă Camera de Comerț Americană din Moldova.

Condiții de eligibilitate pentru candidați:

-Este exponent al managmentului de nivelul I sau II din cadrul unei companii membre AmCham Moldova;
-Are studii superioare juridice;
-Are o vechime în specialitatea juridică de cel puțin 7 ani.

Candidații urmează să depună CV-ul și o scrisoare de intenție până pe 30 noiembrie 16:00, cu indicarea poziției pentru care aplică, la adresa de e-mail: cacic@amcham.md.
