Responsibility

-Ensure that all potential threats of any types of litigations are properly understood, communicated and acted upon in a timely manner.
-Ensure through close co-operation with the Marketing Department and the GM that the LEX Function participates in all smoking/health and marketing freedom related legislation that are under discussion.
-Continuous monitoring and in time/in full information delivery on current and upcoming legislation, providing recommendations to the Company’s management in relation to enactment of new legislation.
-Provide assessments with risk analysis of all legal and company image related matters that affect the Company’s commercial activities and perform all tasks required as the Legal Counsel to the Company.
-Provide reports to the LEX Department in BAT Area HQ.
-Carrying out the analysis of amendments in the legislation that may have a negative effect on the Company’s investment activity. To prepare proposals and recommendations for the management of the Company in order to maintain the favourable investment conditions.
-To control and manage all legal corporate activity of the Company.
-Maintaining necessary contacts with governmental structures and organisations that are in any way related to the Company’s activity.
-To explain and or analyse new internal regulations/procedures or other documents of legal nature. Providing legal support in the course of introduction of amendments to current internal regulations/procedures or other documents of the Company.
-Control over compliance of the Company’s internal documents with the basic requirements of the current legislation in order to provide for legal and economic security of the Company’s business activity.
-Rendering legal assistance to the Company’s sub-divisions in the course of preparation of economic agreements, carrying out legal examination of economic agreements
-Increasing the level of legal education/understanding of the Company’s employees in order to provide for efficient and safe business activity
-Ensure the business has a full understanding of the media landscape and dynamics
-Rendering necessary legal support to regional offices in Caucasus and Moldova.
 
Requirements

-Fluency in Romanian, English and Russian languages;
-Bachelor Degree in Law or Legal Studies;
-At least 3 years working experience in the field of Law;
-Good understanding of Moldovan legal and fiscal framework;
-Excellent Computer skills
-Valid Work and residence permits of Republic of Moldova
