Turcan Cazac Law Firm: Vladimir Palamarciuc at the State Bar of New Mexico

  • 26.11.2013

Albuquerque, NM - Associate Vladimir Palamarciuc is freshly back from a one of a kind professional and cultural experience - an internship with the State Bar of New Mexico (SBNM). Earlier in the year, Vladimir was selected on a competitive basis to join this year\'s legislative cohort of the Professional Fellows Program (PFP) - an initiative sponsored by the U.S. State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The program matched Vladimir with SBNM and, in October, he embarked on the monthlong journey that also included a four-day congress in Washington, D.C.

Thanks to his supervisor SBNM General Counsel Richard Spinello and a packed schedule lined up, Vladimir managed to fully immerse himself into the activity of the organization and the New Mexico legal system and take away valuable lessons to implement in his work and to affect change in the legal system of Moldova (starting of course with the Young Lawyers\' Association that Vladimir currently presides).

Among many things, Vladimir assisted in a Chief Justice Committee meeting, attended jury trials for the first time ever and participated in a Symposium that marked 100 years from the Supreme Court Decision United States. v. Sandoval and addressed the sovereignty of Pueblo Indian land.

Please see page nine of the November edition of the SBNM "Bar Bullentin" for an insightful article on Vladimir\'s experience in the United States.
