BEMOL assures Mihai Cociu`s participation at World Cup Motocross 2011

BEMOL is proud to announce Mihai Cociu’s participation at this year’s MX2 World Motocross Championship - the first Moldovan sportsmen to compete for a world championship in motor sports.

After last year’s intense training, successful results at the European Championship, Mihai Cociu received an invitation from a Latvian motocross club named “Latvia Elksni Honda” to participate at the World Motocross Championship. “Ever since we met, I have been supportive of Mihai on the national level as well as internationally” stated Thomas Moser the General Director of BEMOL.

Last year, with the help of BEMOL Mihai participated at the European Championship MX2 that was held in several stages in different European Countries. He showed great results considering he was not supported by any motorbike manufacturer or major motor sport club. “I am glad that Mihai’s great performance over the last years was noticed and now with the help of BEMOL Mihai signed a one-year contract with the “Latvia Elksni Honda” club, which will ensure that he can compete with the best available bikes and the necessary technical and managerial support” added Thomas Moser.

Since the beginning of the year Mihai prepared with his new club for the world championship with extensive training sessions in Malaga (Spain), Mantova (Italy), Magdeburg (Germany) and in Holland. After arriving back home to Nisporeni, Mihai continued training on the racetrack of Hincesti and is now preparing for his departure to his first MX1 race that will take place in Sevlievo, Bulgaria on the 10th of April.
