U.S.Business Mission to Moldova

A delegation of more than 15 U.S. companies is part of U.S. Business Mission to Moldova that is held on April 11-12, in Chisinau. Business Delegation represents companies from energy, agribusiness, information technology, construction, and other fields and is looking for opportunities to invest and to seek business agreements in Moldova.

On April 11, Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan welcomed the delegation, telling the group that he stood ready to help advance U.S. commercial and investment activity in Moldova. 

In remarks with Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici, Ambassador Hogan told the prospective Moldovan business partners that the United States was proud of its “brand reputation” for quality, reliability, and innovation. He said he looked forward to U.S. businesses playing a larger role in the Moldovan economy, both through job-producing investments and through the delivery of state-of-the-art equipment that can make Moldovan businesses more efficient and competitive.

The Ambassador also announced the U.S. Embassy to Moldova is now an official Partnership Post for the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, meaning the Embassy can now provide increased commercial services to U.S. companies seeking to enter the Moldovan market. This marks a significant step forward in the U.S. - Moldova economic and commercial relationship.

AmCham Moldova in partnership with Vernon David, presented Legal and Regulatory Framework: trends to watch for if investing in Moldova.

On April 12, Tailored one-on-one meetings took place at the Government building. 

The event was organized by U.S. Embassies' Commercial Service in Moldova, Romania & Ukraine in cooperation with AmCham Moldova, Ministry of Economy, Chamber of Commerce & Industry of RM.
