The Government approved the amendment of the Regulation regarding the delegation of employees of entities from the Republic of Moldova

During the meeting of December 21, the Government approved the amendment of the Regulation regarding the delegation of employees of entities from the Republic of Moldova approved by Government Decision no. 10/2012.

The AmCham community actively participated in the Working Group for the review of the existing legal framework, the simplification of its provisions, and the adjustment of the ceilings for employee delegation expenses.

The main provisions of the project are:

- Revision of notions in order to regulate the way of movement of the entity's „staff" instead of „employee", in the context of expanding the category of persons whose purpose is to represent the interests of the company/institution, as well as in order to specify what constitutes confirmatory documents, travel documents, transport expenses for the purpose of traveling in the interest of work;
- Revision of the provisions regarding the working time regime while traveling;
- Adjustment of the provisions related to the establishment of expenses incurred for transport and for lease/rental;
- Adjusting the provisions related to the particularities of the payment of per diems for car, rail and air transport personnel, delegated abroad in the interest of service;
- Revising the way of releasing money to staff, by granting the possibility to make payments in their favor both in the national currency and in the currency of the destination country;
- Increasing the per diem norms and accommodation ceilings. 

In this regards, AmCham appreciates the authorities' acceptance of the proposals for the amendment project, justified by the correlation of good international practices applied in the staff delegation process.
