Veronica Sirețeanu Vragaleva, deputy Director of AmCham Moldova is represented Economic Growth Groupe by Prime Minister and participated in the discussions of Chapter 4 ”Free Movement of the Capital” happening in Bruxelles, Belgium, together with the representatives from the Bureau for European Integration, Ministry of Finance, National Bank of Moldova, Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Office of Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering and other relevant public authorities.
The discussions focused on three pillars:
1. Remove restrictions on the free movement of capital (including liberalization of foreign exchange regulation, inflow and outflow of the capital, privatization and foreign direct investments, SOE and so on);
2. Developing cross-border payment systems (including ADPS, instant payments, SEPA regulations, PSD2, and potential transposal of PSD3); and
3. A robust framework for safeguarding the principles of movement of the capital related to anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism.
