AmCham Moldova in cooperation with PwC conducted "HR Barometer" Survey to find out the impact of COVID-19 on business and what measures have been taken to protect employees against infection with COVID-19, as well as the period during which they will be applied.
The survey includes the opinions expressed by companies shortly after the authorities announce the establishment of a state of emergency, which clearly speeds up the taking measures of social distancing and limitation of interaction. From the analysis of the answers, it is obvious that most of the companies have already taken firm measures to protect the employees without being forced by normative acts issued by the authorities. As can be seen, all the respondents considered that it’s safer that at least some of the employees work from home or in shifts.
Also, protecting the health of employees requires the cancellation or postponement of certain activities, such as events and trips. Although these decisions can have negative consequences for business development, companies care for people’s well-being in the first place.
