Open letter of support to the Moldovan wine industry

AmCham Moldova expresses words of support and solidarity to Moldovan wine producers as a response to recent embargo introduced by Russian Federation.

No other industry in the country faced so many external shocks in the last decade. Despite this, Moldovan wine companies continued to discover new markets and register remarkable results. Even though Russia’s market is significant for several wine exporters, a small contribution of everybody will greatly encourage the whole industry.

We highly appreciate the quality of Moldovan wine, traditions of wine makers, and their efforts to export to as many countries as possible. In this way wine makers highly represent Moldovan image abroad.

We raise an appeal to everybody to open a bottle of fine Moldovan wine and share it with a friend or relative every day now, as a sign of personal support and loyalty towards our domestic producers. We also encourage business community to offer its support by establishing new commercial ties abroad. Offering timely the necessary support can play a major role in making the industry less vulnerable, thus helping it to achieve its maximum independence.

We raise a glass of Moldovan wine and share it with all our friends.
