The NGO ASIM (Association of Swedish Investors in Moldova) is announcing a vacant position of Director, who will ensure that the Association is completed successfully on time and within the allocated budget, that the projects’ objectives are met and the most efficient resources are used.

BACKGROUND

ASIM is a non-governmental organization focused on promoting good governance principles throughout the public sector, through developing monitoring & advocacy activities, as well as provides expertise to relevant stakeholders on key reform processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management
• Designing the Association development strategy and approve it within the Administration Board;
• Develop all needed Strategies, Guidelines internal rules and procedures in line with the local legislation requirements.
• Represent the Association in its relations with the donors organizations, as well as state institutions and civil society organizations;
• Approve and ensure high standards of the Association activity reports;
• Overseeing the financial management of the Association;
• Designing detailed work plans of the projects implementation and assigning specific responsibilities and deadlines for each member of the projects / Association’s team;
• Monitoring the implementation of the work plans, securing the achievement of all projects objectives and deliverables;
• Carrying out effective risk assessment and adjust the work plans accordingly;
• Hiring projects personnel, when needed;
• Organizing the Association team and providing advice on projects management;
• Making sure quality standards are met;
• Ensure that grants used according to Association / projects purpose;
• Develop an appropriate framework for timely monitoring of the activities;
• Take active part in the advocacy campaign, and participate in TV and radio shows as well as cooperated actively with all media outlets;
• Guarantee strong visibility of the Association projects activities and full compliance with donors/internal visibility guidelines.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

• University Degree (Master Degree preferred) in one of the following areas: Law, Public Administration, Economy or other social sciences;
• Proven experience in project management of at least 7 years;
• Fluent in Romanian and English languages, knowledge of Russian would be an asset;
• Sound knowledge of the public procurement system in Moldova;
• Computer proficiency in a windows environment using MS Office, spreadsheets and databases.
