Main Tasks
Conduct a study of the calculation, administration, and payment of all taxes and contributions made from
wage payments, and identify measures to streamline them to the benefit of the taxpayer and public
authorities.
* Review the legal framework regarding the calculation, payments and administration of social
security contributions and of mandatory health insurance bonuses. Identify similarities and
differences between the basis for calculating social security contributions, mandatory health
insurance bonuses and income tax.
* Identify specifics related to the calculation, payment and declaration of the above mentioned
payments and of the income tax, as well as details associated with the administration of social
insurance contributions and of the mandatory health insurance.
* Describe role/responsibilities of the authorities empowered to control the accuracy of calculating
and paying the social security contributions, mandatory health insurance bonuses and income tax.
* Meet and work collaboratively with all public authorities involved in developing policies,
calculating and administrating taxes/contributions made from wage payments. Hold meetings
with the representatives of the business community to obtain their opinion and recommendations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in tax administration, audit/accounting, or other related field.
* At least 10 years of relevant experience in Moldova.
* Deep understanding of the legal framework regarding the calculation and administration of all
taxes/contributions made from wage payments and its application in practice.
* Knowledge of international best practices in this area a distinct advantage.
* Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
* Fluency in Romanian – written and spoken; good knowledge of English an advantage.
