US Embassy: Redesigned $100 Note

  • 15.10.2013

On October 8, 2013, the U.S. Federal Reserve issued a newly-designed $100 bill.

The new design $100 note includes two new security features, the 3-D Security Ribbon and the Bell in the Inkwell. In addition to the two new security features, three highly effective security features from previous designs have been enhanced and retained in the new design $100 note: the portrait watermark, the security thread, and the color-shifting 100. Please note that it is U.S. government policy that all designs of U.S currency remain legal tender, regardless of when they were issued. This policy includes all denominations of Federal Reserve notes, from 1914 to the present.
