Purcari Winery participated at Three Wine Men event held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The event, organized by the renowned British wine experts - Olly Smith, Oz Clarke and Tim Atkin, was attended by more than 2,000 wine retailers and enthusiasts over the weekend.
All three wines, Alb de Purcari, Rara Neagra and Negru de Purcari were very popular with Londoners. However, Tim Atkin, the renowned international wine journalist, was mostly impressed by the unique taste and bouquet of Rara Neagra de Purcari, due to the fact that it’s an indigenous grape variety of Moldova.
Oz Clarke, "World Wine Tasting Champion", 1982 and "Wine Challenge Personality of the Year", 2009, fondly remembered tasting Negru de Purcari a couple of years ago. He was very complimentary of the Purcari winery and mentioned: “It has a lot of history and tradition behind it. I postponed my trip to Moldova 2 times, but will most definitely visit Purcari next spring.”
