Turcan Cazac: The Young Lawyers Association|s Open Discussion on the

Chisinau, Moldova - On 10 October 2012, with the support of the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) in partnership with the Public Library of Law, the Young Lawyers Association of the Moldovan Lawyers Association organized an open discussion for trainee lawyers and rising practitioners.

The firm\'s partner Octavian Cazac and associate Vladimir Palamarciuc have been invited as the event\'s speakers. The lawyers discussed the "Nullity of the Civil Juridical Act" and shared some of their experience in the area. The discussion touched upon such key matters as understanding nullity as a sanction in private law, the contrast between relative and absolute nullity, the effects of the nullity of the civil juridical act, the abstraction principle, the significance of good faith in invoking the nullity of a civil juridical act and invoking nullity in insolvency, to name a few.

About 65 professionals attended the event; the ABA ROLI representative Hon. Richard E. Grawey opened the lecture with an introductory note and a brief discussion of the legal profession in the US and, particularly, in the state of Illinois.
