BCR: Children from the BCR grade from Nemteni – on the first school day

Chisinau, 1 September 2011. Banca Comerciala Romana Chisinau S.A. has celebrated the beginning of the school year together with the children from the first grade from Nemteni school of Hancesti district. These children were taken under the guardianship of BCR Chisinau in 2010, when they were preschool students at "Fluturas" kindergarten.

The 20 children from Nemteni kindergarten, taken under the guardianship of BCR in 2010, this year began the studies in the school from Nemteni. To make the world of knowledge even more attractive to the BCR grade and to make pupils be hard-working, BCR Chisinau team has brought the children all the things needed for the school.

"We want to encourage the children of BCR grade to come to school with pleasure. During one year, since children have been taken under the guardianship of BCR Chisinau, we are present at the most important events in children’s life and we will also engage in the future, as we take the first step in educating both the future potential BCR team members, as well as customers", said Sorin Andrei, CEO of BCR Chisinau S.A.

In September 2010, 20 children from the preparatory group of ”Fluturas” kindergarten from Nemteni village were taken under the guardianship of BCR Chisinau, thus forming the BCR group. BCR Chisinau’s initial support offered to these children consisted of school supplies. Later, BCR Chisinau offered to Nemteni gymnasium school furniture, including tables, chairs and closets. BCR Chisinau team was also present on holidays, when it made the kids happy by giving presents to them. The total amount of the support for children is expressed primarily by the enthusiasm with which the employees of BCR Chisinau S.A. have launched and continue this initiative, as well as the amount of contributions collected from the BCR Chisinau team, which amounts to about MDL 30,000.

The support provided by BCR Chisinau to the Nemteni gymnasium is part of the internal campaign "BCR - Community Partner" launched in July 2010 and aimed at assisting the people affected by last summer’s floods.
