The best 100 students of Moldova Technical University (UTM), Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) and Moldova State University, selected through a special contest, will receive monthly scholarships in 2010-2011 from BC Victoriabank.
According to the bank, the Board of Directors of Victoriabank approved, upon the initiative of the Chairman of Administrative Council, Vladimir Plahotniuc, the new program of scholarships for bachelor graduates of 2011.
Bank representatives said the decision of awarding scholarships was taken within the program of Social Corporate Responsibility that aims to encourage and stimulate the future specialists of Moldova.
Victoriabank offers two categories of scholarships: “The Honor Scholarship” and “The Social Scholarship” that jointly equal 650 thousand lei (US$ 51.2 thousand). The bank said that The Honor Scholarship will be awarded to those who completed all academic requirements and have a high GPA. The list with the names of the contest’s participants will be presented to the UTA, ASEM and State University senates.
