The National Chess Academy of Moldova launches the "Welcome to the Chess’ Family!" Project

The National Chess Academy of Moldova is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 by the most respected chess professionals in the country, in order to create a system for development and popularization of the game throughout the country, especially amongst the youth.
The mission of the Academy is to help the young generation to develop the intelligence, the willing, tenacity and other necessary qualities for everyday life through chess activities.

We are writing to you with a request to help us to launch an innovative project called “Welcome to the Chess’ Family!”. It is a social project, aimed at establishing friendly relations and the improvement of communication between the chess lovers of all ages. The project assumes organization of 24 tournaments per teams during a calendar year (2 per month) and is based on numerous requests of the parents to participate at chess tournaments together with their children. The teams will be formed of 2 players – a grownup and a child – preferably of the same family. We partner with the hotel Jolly Allon that offered us space and the local and media partners which will provide the outreach of the project (locals.md, mama.md, sporter.md. and others).
The annual cost of the project is of 212060 lei: 118000 lei is already identified, but we still need to fill the gap of 94060 lei.

The participation in the activity of the Academy will constitute an important input in promoting the intellectual resources of Republic of Moldova and it will offer the possibility to the young generation to develop efficiently.
